Our hands are used to doing most of the hurdles, so you need to be pampered and rest to look nice and smooth! Here are 10 sure ways to get a beautiful hand. Here are some of the simplest and best hand beauty tips you can easily follow at home.
10 Simple Beauty Tips for Your Hands
See what are the basic steps you need to follow to get a beautiful, soft hand.
1. Hydrate hands.
Use a good quality hand moisturizer, wash thoroughly and apply to hands at least three times a day. Use a light, non-greasy moisturizer in summer and choose something heavy, such as body butter, in winter. Winter tends to dry out the skin, so you can do it with extra moisturizing.
2. Pamper your hands
Apply nail polish at least once a month. Wash your hands thoroughly with nail polish, exfoliate, and massage. It is nutrition that fits comfortably in your hand.
3. Wash your hands
When washing your hands, make sure to wash your hands in lukewarm water throughout the year. Water that is too hot or too cold tends to damage the skin. Never use regular dishwashing detergent as it makes your skin rough and dries out easily.
Rub your hands at least once a week with a good exfoliator to remove dead skin. Don’t have time to buy one? Try making one at home. Take 1 teaspoon each of fine sugar and olive oil and mix well with the juice of half a lime. If you want to try something different, just drop of your favorite EO and you’re done! A homemade exfoliating scrub is ready.
Tip: You can use this scrub without olive oil. If oil is used, wash your hands with mild soap and lukewarm water. If using without olive oil, simply wash your hands in lukewarm water and pat dry.
Massage your hands at night for at least 5 minutes to soak in the benefits of the moisturizer. For very rough hands, mix a moisturizer and Vaseline to protect them overnight.
6. Protect your hands.
You should wear rubber gloves to protect your hands when washing the dishes, gardening, or doing household chores where your hands may interact with chemicals, oils, or dust.
7. File and Trim
When grooming your nails, try to organize your nails in one direction, not in a seesaw motion. The seesaw action can separate the layers of the nail, and if water gets in between the layers of the nail, the nail can peel off. Trim your nails at least once every two weeks or as needed.
8. Paint your nails.
When painting your nails, always use a base coat to avoid soiling your nails. Using a base coat will help your nail polish last longer.
9. Cuticle Protection
Use a good quality cuticle cream or oil to avoid roughening or drying out your cuticles. Looking for an alternative you can do at home? Apply a few drops of glycerin to your hands overnight at least twice a week and rinse off with lukewarm water in the morning. You will get up with softer hands.
10. Eat right
What you eat is very important. Protein, B vitamins, and vitamin E supplements should be part of your diet to create healthy, strong nails and keep your hands supple and soft.
